MTS Centre

The MTS Centre is an indoor arena at 300 Portage Avenue in Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The MTS Centre is home to the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets hockey team.

The MTS Centre is operated by True North Sports & Entertainment Limited. The 440,000 square feet facility was constructed at a cost of $133.5 million CAD, and opened on November 16, 2004.

The MTS Centre has a capacity of 15,015 for hockey and 16,345 for other events, such as concerts.

The MTS Centre was home to the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose from its opening in 2004 to 2011. In 2011, the Atlanta Thrashers were sold to True North and relocated to Winnipeg for the 2011–12 NHL season.

MTS Centre Parking, Winnipeg Jets Parking Information and Tips

Those who attend MTS Centre events park on the street, at parking meters, in surface parking lots, and in heated indoor parkades - all located within easy walking distance of the new entertainment centre. Winnipeg's downtown has an abundance of parking. There are approximately 30,000 parking stalls in the downtown core. 7,000 of the spaces are within a five-minute walk of the MTS Centre site while there are more than 13,000 off-street parking spaces within a ten-minute walking contour. There are also 2,000 metered parking spots on the streets within this contour.
